Abstract tree in a landscape of layered frames

My goal was to achieve that kind of backdrop look we know from theaters. That is why the tree is flat. I think the combination with a simple geometrical shape that opens a new perspective is quite appealing. The way the layers overlap each other add a surreal aspect to the scene. This composition is part of a quartet inspired by the colors and scenery of Tuscany in combination with geometric shapes. The main color in all four works is green accompanied by a strong red accent - so they make a nice series. What you experience here is a frame in a frame in a Tuscany landscape. The tree is reaching from the background into the foreground and overlaps the red frame wich seems to be placed in the background. This time the transparent shape seems to be 3dimensional as well. This is probably the most surreal of the four artworks in this series. Again I added a photograph overlay to add an organic texture to this artwork. Enjoy.
